Migration of Blažek Praha to Microsoft 365

The goal of the project was not only to replace the existing email server, but above all to create a modern workplace environment that would enable secure access to services from anywhere and provide users with tools for efficient communication and collaboration.

Challenge

The customer’s key requirements included improving the protection of user accounts and corporate data, maintaining integration with the existing on-premises infrastructure, and creating a foundation for the further development of cloud services.

Another important requirement was to enable more effective collaboration between employees and external partners through online meetings, video conferencing, shared documents, and cloud storage.

Solution

We designed a migration to Microsoft 365, including hybrid integration with the on-premises Active Directory environment. The solution included synchronizing user identities with the cloud via Microsoft Entra ID, followed by the migration of the existing email environment to Exchange Online.

As part of the project, we migrated:

• user mailboxes,
• shared mailboxes,
• distribution groups,
• meeting rooms.

We also deployed Microsoft 365 Business Standard applications to user devices and implemented Microsoft Teams and OneDrive for Business.

Another key part of the implementation was the introduction of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), which adds an additional layer of security to user accounts and helps protect corporate data against unauthorized access.

Result

The migration provided Blažek Praha with a modern cloud environment for email communication, document management, and team collaboration.

Users can now securely access their services from anywhere and use tools for online meetings, video conferencing, document sharing, and cloud data storage. Integration with the on-premises Active Directory environment also ensures continuity with the company’s existing IT infrastructure.

The new solution provides the customer with greater flexibility and creates a solid technological foundation for the further development of Microsoft 365 cloud services.

Further Development

The migration to Microsoft 365 represents the first stage of a broader workplace modernization initiative. In the next phase of the project, we will focus on driving user adoption of Microsoft 365 tools, followed by the migration of corporate data to SharePoint Online.

The goal is to further enhance team collaboration, document sharing, and secure access to and management of corporate data.
