Modernization of the IT Infrastructure of the Semily Municipal Office

The Semily Municipal Office decided to undertake a comprehensive modernization of its IT infrastructure with the aim of enhancing security, improving the availability of key systems, and ensuring full compliance with the requirements of the European NIS2 directive.

This strategic step represents a major move toward a more efficient and secure digital environment that supports modern city management and the delivery of services to citizens.

The project included a complete renewal of the server and network environment using the latest technologies. We implemented new HPE servers that, thanks to their high performance and reliability, provide a robust foundation for the operation of all key municipal applications and systems.

For secure and efficient data storage, the StorMagic virtual storage platform was deployed, ensuring high availability, easy management of storage resources, and minimizing the risk of data loss. This created an environment capable of flexibly responding to the office’s needs and the growing volume of data.

As part of the modernization, the entire network infrastructure was also replaced. The new Aruba switches enable advanced network segmentation, which significantly enhances cybersecurity and ensures compliance with modern networking standards.

All components were integrated into a unified, centrally managed environment that allows the IT department to efficiently monitor operations, respond quickly to potential incidents, and maintain full control over system performance.

Thanks to this modernization, the municipal office has gained a stable, secure, and scalable IT solution that provides a strong technological foundation for the continued development of the city’s digital services.
